Dr. Michael Sey is an Associate Scientist at Lawson Health Research Institute, an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Western University, and a Clinician Researcher in the Program for Experimental Medicine. He completed his MD at the University of Toronto and his Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology residencies at Western University. Dr. Sey trained in Advanced Endoscopy at Indiana University Medical Centre, Clinical Trials development at Harvard Medical School, and completed a Master of Public Health at Harvard University. Currently, he is the Program Director for the Advanced Luminal Endoscopy Fellowship at London Health Sciences Centre and the Endoscopy Lead for the South West Regional Cancer Program, Cancer Care Ontario.
His clinical interests include double balloon enteroscopy, capsule endoscopy, endoscopic ultrasound, and endoscopic mucosal resection/submucosal dissection. His research focuses on gastrointestinal bleeding, bowel preparation, small bowel endoscopy, and colon cancer screening.
