Dr. Stephen Lownie received the Innovation Award at the 2016 Lawson Impact Awards on April 13, 2016.

Dr. Steve Lownie is a neurosurgeon and neurointerventionalist, with a primary interest in vascular diseases of the brain. He was honoured with the 2016 Lawson Innovation Award for his recent publication titled, “Catheter Based Selective Hypothermia Reduces Stroke Volume during Focal Cerebral Ischemia in Swine,” published in the Journal of NeuroInterventional Surgery.

Dr. William Clark was awarded with the Scientist Career Award at the 2016 Lawson Impact Awards on April 13, 2016.

Distinguished in many areas of medicine and nephrology, Dr. Clark has gained international recognition for his observational studies, randomized clinical trials and treatment of kidney patients. Most recently, he has gained worldwide attention for his work examining the increased risks of initiating dialysis treatment early.
