
Hand and Upper Limb Centre Research
St. Joseph's Health Care London's Roth | McFarlane Hand and Upper Limb Centre (HULC), located at St. Joseph’s Hospital, has an active basic science and clinical research program at Lawson Health Research Institute.
Research efforts are focused to improve outcomes for people with health conditions or injury affecting their upper limb.
Since its inception in 1992, the research activities at HULC have gained an international reputation. Researchers from HULC frequently attend national and international meetings to present their findings.
Research is concentrated in four associated laboratories, staffed in a multidisciplinary collaborative fashion by surgeons, therapists, engineers, scientists, graduate students, residents, undergraduate students, and laboratory technicians.
