The successful candidate will work under the direction of Dr. Barra in the role of the “Clinical Research Assistant”. This position will assist the Department of Medicine, Division of Rheumatology to perform clinical research studies and maintain biobanks. There is a broad range of responsibilities, with a focus on all dimensions of Clinical Studies Administration. This includes day-to-day operations of clinical studies including: preparation of ethics submissions and maintenance of biosafety requirements, liaising with patients, physicians and healthcare workers; obtaining informed consent from potential study participants and biological samples, management of clinical study documentation, including data entry, creation and maintenance of databases.
