Research Overview
Dr. Foster’s research program focuses on optimization of sleep and sedation in the pediatric critical care environment through both pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic techniques.
Currently, Dr. Foster is investigating the role of melatonin - both the patient’s own and exogenous administration - for optimizing sleep and sedation and decreasing the risk of delirium.
