Reporting to the Manager, Grant Development, Lawson, the Grant Development Officer supports Lawson researchers in the development and submission of grant applications for a variety of funding opportunities including individual operating funds, large strategic team grants, major infrastructure or multi-centre network grants. The incumbent will participate in the management of multiple external grant deadlines, while maintaining a strong understanding of granting agency research policies and grant submission processes. The incumbent will provide researchers with targeted funding opportunities, assist in the development of funding and award applications, and facilitate the building of interdisciplinary research teams, including engagement of patient partners. The incumbent will also participate in the coordination of internal funding competitions, development of Grant Development guidelines and procedures and other administrative duties as required. Particular expertise in the development of clinical research will be an  advantage.
