14th Annual Oncology Research & Education Day

Please join us for the 14th Annual Oncology Research & Education Day. This full-day cancer research conference will be held on Friday, June 16, 2017, at the beautiful Best Western Lamplighter Inn in London, Ontario from 8:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.

We would be absolutely delighted if you could attend some or all of the scientific presentations, especially the keynote lecture by Dr. Paul J. Hergenrother. This unique plenary session features a high-profile translational scientist whose work has significantly impacted our understanding of cancer biology and chemistry.
Oncology R&E Day will begin promptly at 8:30AM with opening remarks by special guest Dr. Stephen Robbins (Scientific Director, CIHR-ICR) and other valued leaders in Oncology. There will be “TED-Style” oral presentations and scientific poster sessions throughout the day. Later in the afternoon, awards will be presented for the top oral and poster presentations as well as for the Department of Oncology Excellence in Academic and Teaching Award (5) and the Denise Power Cancer Research Staff Award (1). Cocktails and delicious appetizers will be served during the award ceremony.
Excellence in Academic and Teaching Award – NOMINATIONS OPEN
Please send all nomination letters for the Department of Oncology’s Excellence in Academic and Teaching Award to the respective Division Leaders by no later than May 26, 2017. Awards available for the Divisions of Surgical Oncology, Radiation Oncology, Medical Oncology, Experimental Oncology and Windsor Oncology. The recipients should demonstrate excellent or innovative teaching that contributes to long lasting impact.
Denise Power Cancer Research Staff Award – NOMINATIONS OPEN
Nominees exemplify the truly dynamic, hardworking individuals working in cancer research, contributing to both their own research group and the greater CRLP/LRCP work environment. Please all send nomination letters for the Denise Power Cancer Research Staff Award to Elizabeth Mazza (elizabeth.mazza@lhsc.on.ca) by no later than May 26, 2017.
